Transport
ROAD
Amble is situated on the A1068 road. This was originally an old corn trading
road and it links the town to Alnwick in the north and (via the A189) to
Ashington in the south of the region.
The A1 is less than a 20 minute drive from Amble and gives easy access to
Edinburgh and the north, and Newcastle upon Tyne and the south of
England.
RAIL
The East Coast Main line can be accessed at nearby Alnmouth station (about
5 miles away on the A1068).

AIR
Newcastle Airport is only about 45 minute drive
from Amble

BUS SERVICES
Warkworth is served by two bus services run by Arriva.
The first is the hourly X18, running between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed
via Alnwick, Warkworth, Amble and Morpeth.
The second bus service is the number X20 which also runs hourly between
Alnwick, Warkworth, Amble, Widdrington, Ashington and Newcastle.
